Hopefully someone can help me prevent a few grays hairs and a serious drinking problem. :DI am trying to install an HP D1420 deskjet... I'm using the HP provided installation CD. It seems to install properly, but when I try to print a test page, it appears to all work like it should... the little icon of print jobs shows up in the tray briefly, then goes away, the printer starts blinking, but never grabs the paper and never prints the test page.One other thing... I initially had the USB cable plugged into the USB port in the back of the computer, but got a USB error, so I used the front port and the error went away. I did plug my USB thumbdrive into the same port on the back and it detected it ansd the drive worked perfectly, so that should indicate the USB port is working properly, right?I've uninstalled and reinstalled the printer so many times the computer's starting to get an attitude and wishes I would make up my mind. :DAny ideas?
