Question:

HP Pavilion zv6000 Laptop?

I turn it on and it tells me that an Error 0200: Failure Fixed Disk 0. It says f1 to resume, or f2 to setup. When I hit f1. It doesnt do anything but thave a blinking underscore. Help anyone?

  1. The harddrive is broken. Send the laptop in for repair or buy a new harddrive.


  2. Used to have 2 of that same exact laptop. One slowed down and crashed (kinda like your situation), and the other one melted its power cord along with its port making it unusable. Id stay away from HP. Tech support was no help and diden't offer to replace a thing. Go with an Acer or Dell, their more reliable.

  3. if it's still under warranty they will replace the computer, if not you'll have to buy a new hard drive and new operating system..  hope you've been backing up your files on an external hard drive!

  4. I would say that your MBR master boot record is corrupted or your BIOS does not recognize hard drive

    reset BIOS to default

    When computer first starts it should have near the bottom of screen which key to press to go to BIOS when in BIOS it will tell you which key to press to reset to default
