I've been having nothing but problems with HP laptops! this is my second notebook HP Pavillion of the dv6000 series, dv6700 and none of the video components work properly: the DVDs won't play properly they stick; preview pane of Windows Movie Maker which worked fine on my other version of Vista (Basic) won't play and it freezes constantly; the video import software will not import audio (which it did on my previous HP laptop with Vista); None of my video editing software works (I have 4 different ones!) They all stick in the preview pane, and freeze the laptop. Is this a graphics driver or video card problem? I'm about to ask for a full refund.

Are all HP laptops P.O.S? (ess heche aii tee)

Please: if HP is that bad, what are the best laptops (brands and models please) to work with video editing (WMM, Roxio, Cyberlink DVD suite etc...)

Thank you for your input.

  1. No not all HP Laptops are POS.  I have an HP dv6700 and it rocks.  Puts the Dell 1525 to shame.  I use Nero8 and it runs flawlessly.  You must have a lemon.  HP tech support?
