  1. So it says 193GB of space on the drive, that would mean that the OS is taking up some of that but is should only be taking about 10GB MAX in any situation. Other than that HP puts a recovery partition on most of its computers, both of those would be sucking up that space.

  2. Looks fine to me, you have 2 GiB RAM, OS reports 1.93 GB (but it actually means 1.93 GiB, windows has some bugs in) and you've got integrated graphics that steals a bit from system RAM which explains where the 0.07 Gib (probably 64 MiB) missing from the RAM went.

    The OS also reports your 250 GB hard drive as 220 GB but is actually reporting 220 GiB (but misstating it due to a windows bug) which is 236 GB, I'd say there's a 14 GB recovery partition somewhere (that seems a bit excessive to me though).

  3. 1.93 is your RAM

    go into computer folder, check c:\ and theres your space.

    windows will not show the same numbers as the ones you purchased.

    2GB ram will not show up as 2GB

    250GB will not show up as 250GB

    they will all show up less

    this is because the manufacturer calculations and windows calculations are diffrent.

    manufacturer = 1GB is 1000MB

    windows = 1GB is 1024MB

    so when windows rounds the space calculations off it shows up as lesss. but it's all there.

  4. Make sure you are not mixing up ram and hard drive memory. A lot of people do and panic. Or, you must have 1.93gb separated from the other 248gb.

  5. Windows and commputer makers rate the hard drive gigabytes differently . If you buy a computer and the specs say it has a 160gb hard drive when you go into my computer it will usually say you something like 149gb , just a different system of rating
