HP computer help please?

Question

I have a new HP Compaq D7100 desktop computer, and i have SoundMAX digital installed on to my computer. I also have my own sound system installed to my computer, but for some reason, i have no audio whatsoever. I've tried to re-install my audio programs on my computer but nothing seems to work. Help please?

Hello From the Tech:

A couple of quick thing to look at here.

1.  I know it sound silly but it happens, check the mute on your volume in sound control under control panel.  Check that the speakers are plugged in and someone has not kicked your power cord out.  I once had a cat chew threw the speaker cables.

2 go to Control panel > Sounds and see if your sound card is there.

3. go to Control panel > System > Hardware tab > device manager and see if your sound card is there and if there are any yellow circles to indicate your sound card is not set up or functioning properly.

4. Uninstall the sound card and try reinstalling it.
