HP scanning problems?

I have an HP F4135 all in one, and it prints and copies just fine, but the other day it stopped scanning. It goes to the window and stays at the "preparing to scan" part and doesn't change. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but I received the exact same results. Can anyone help me?

  1. Download updated driver for your Operating System (which you do not mention) and re-install/update driver.

    Scanning a document/picture should always be a painless and easy procedure. If it is not, there is something wrong and normally this boils down to faulty drivers.


  2. download and install software driver for your operating system from http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softw...

    load document onto scanner, click start, click printers and faxes, click scanners and cameras, double click on device (wizard pops up) follow instructions from there.
