Ok i had an interview the 12th of july and hopefully my future boss got back to me today saying he was putting a hiring package together but for now the hiring HR department freezes all the processes right now and will let me know when the order will be released and he will continue working.. Anybody know why HR does this?

  1. A hiring freeze means that the co. has decided to stop hiring altogether because of the economy or their financial situation. Even though the boss wants to hire you, he cannot do it without HR doing the paperwork. So if HR froze it, U R outta luck, dude.

    Keep looking.

  2. It's done for budgetary reasons.  It's usually for awhile, not just a week or so - more commonly for months.

    Good luck.
