HRH Princess Haya to remain patron of Omega Dubai Ladies Masters for another two years
Omega Dubai Ladies Masters, which is going to be played from December 5-8, at Emirates Golf Course this year, has made the headlines, as it will see the patronage of HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein for another two years.
According to the details, the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters, which was launched in 2006, has been receiving special attention from HRH Princess Haya since its inception.
By extending her patronage to the euro 500,000 event, HRH Princess Haya has shown that she is interested in expanding the sport in the region.
Experts said that given the opportunities for golf in the Middle East, it is very crucial that the State give its much-needed support to the sport.
Golf in DUBAI is the organiser of Omega Dubai Ladies Masters. The entity is responsible for promoting gold across Dubai and other Arab countries in an attempt to bring it at par with European and American standards.
Officials of ‘golf in DUBAI’ said that they are quite appreciative of the role HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein has been playing since the tournament’s inception.
They said that HRH Princess has assured her support for the tournament, which means that the two years will go smoothly.
The Omega Dubai Ladies Masters is the season-ending tournament on the Ladies European Tour (LET). Last year’s edition saw Iben Tinning of Denmark grab the coveted title.
Vice Chairman and CEO of golf in DUBAI, Mohamed Juma Buamaim, said that he is confident that the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters will flourish under the patronage of HRH Princess Haya, who is the wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
