HRT can set their eye on 2011 Championship, only Virgin to watch out for – Formula 1
With everything working well for the Hispania Racing Team, they are well on course to make history in the 2011 season.
Looking at all the top teams and their lack of consistency on the track, HRT can have an edge over big sporting Giants in the 2011 season.
As it is clear from the opening three races of the 2011 season, the strategy works more than the speed of the car, it is clear that all the 12 participating teams will have no advantage on any other team, by having the fast car, especially Red Bull and McLaren.
HRT will only have to watch out for the Virgin team because they will hit hard with their Cosworth-powered car, MVR-02.
As far as strategies are concerned, HRT’s team boss, Colin Kolles is professionally a dentist and who else can have a better strategic head than a dentist. Kolles can surprise the bigger teams to make history for his team.
HRT will have a better chance to show a clearer picture to the Formula 1 supremo, Bernie Ecclestone, who thinks that HRT are mere spectators in the sport.
The top four teams, Red Bull, McLaren, Ferrari and Mercedes are already struggling to get their car’s optimised.
Red Bull team is constantly facing a Kinetic Energy Recovery System so they are out of HRT’s way for at least the next four to five months, unless the drinks company hires someone with more of a racing brain.
As far as McLaren team is concerned, they had a real hard time in the previous races to take care of their tyres. On the other hand, we saw Narain Karthikeyan only doing almost one pit-stop in the Chinese Grand Prix. If HRT can qualify in top 24 positions
then there is no way that McLaren team will win.
No need to consider Ferrari team standing in HRT’s way. With constant issues with the rear wing in Fernando Alonso’s car and their heads under pressure, there is no way he and his Brazilian teammate Felipe Massa will be able to take the fight to HRT rookies.
The last most feared team on the grid is regarded as the Mercedes team, but as we saw from the last three races, the MGP-W02 is slow as a turtle. The Mercedes car was not able to catch up with the Red Bull team then HRT’s pursue is out of question for them.
Kolles has said on previous occasions that huge upgrades are expected which will include, firstly a paint job for their car to camouflage it for a surprise attack. Then new energy drinks will be used for their drivers and most probably for their car, and
a few more upgrades which will be revealed on spot so that no other team can copy that.
As for the other seven teams are concerned, HRT will only have to watch out for Virgin team attack because the other six teams run just a little bit ahead of Hispania cars.
