HRT test driver Dani Clos to appear in FP1 of 2012 German Grand Prix – Formula 1 news
HRT test driver Dani Clos is going appear in the first free Friday practice session of 2012 German Grand Prix which is to be held at Hockenheimring.
Clos could only complete 11 laps in FP1 of British GP at Silverstone Circuit as his run was limited due to rainy conditions. Nevertheless, he is positively looking forward to collect some essential information about the car during the free practice of the
forthcoming race which will surely help in making the further advancements.
Moreover, he expressed that he is very much delighted that he is going to make his third appearance for his team in the practice session of the approaching race. In addition, he is expecting that the weather conditions will hopefully be favourable and will
support them in gathering the necessary data for the assessment of the updates.
“I'm happy to be getting into the car again just a few weeks later; it's another very good opportunity for me,” Clos said. “I wasn't able to do much mileage in Silverstone because of the weather but my sensations and the work we did were very positive both
for me and the team. We did a great job on a wet track and, although it was brief, it was very intense. Hockenheim will be a good opportunity to improve and do more miles with the F112. I'm confident and really looking forward to getting back on to the track.”
Furthermore, he said that he knows the track of the approaching race very well and has developed a very good affiliation with it as he has always enjoyed driving there. Over and above, he said that he is eagerly waiting to get back on the circuit of the
next race.
Even though, the Madrid based team has not been able to score even a single point in the season so far. Nonetheless, they are not feeling disappointed and are aiming to score some reasonable points in the season ahead.
Above and beyond, it will be interesting to see how their pair of drivers, Pedro de la Rosa and Narain Karthikeyan, performs in the upcoming season.
