In the second match of the day, Jesse Ryder’s blistering 86, well complimented by seamer Ronald Karaitiana’s timely strikes, helped Wellington Firebirds to set up a 43-run win over http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Northern-Districts-c825 at Seddon Park in Hamilton.
The Firebirds now trail their opponents by just 4 points on the tournament’s points table with three games left for both to qualify for 2nd January’s final day.
Chasing 203 for the win, the Knights went off to a brisk start with Brad Wilson and Herschelle Gibbs setting a sound plat form of 102 for 1 in 10.5 overs after losing http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Daniel-Flynn-c1309 on the fourth ball of the game. Gibbs scored
