HSBC Help!!?

HSBC are ruining my life!!

I opened a student account with them in September 2005 which gave me an overdraft of £1000. In November 2005 I recevied a letter saying they have sent me to the debt recovery service...for going into my overdraft even though they had given me one!

I went into the bank the same day I received the letter and the same woman who opened my account realised she had opened me a current account not a student account and that she said she had sorted out the problem.

I tried updating a bank account with another bank and it declined because of bad credit,I have never had credit cards loans etc to give me bad credit. I have also had interviews with RBS so I needed to check this out.

I looked on experian last week and it seems HSBC have still left the default on my account for their mistake. The staff in the branch are not interested in helping me,I have a conditional offer from RBS but problem with HSBC needs sorting. How can i sort this quickly and make them listen?
