  1. The account number is the number of your bank account that the money comes from each time you use the debit card, usually your current account.   If you check you will see that the last  eight numbers on the debit card are the same as your Bank account number.

  2. They probably want the 4 sets of numbers at the bottom front of your card. Usually 4 sets of 4numbers.  Then you enter the "security code" which are the last 3 numbers printed on the back.

It's possible that they won't set up your account with the debit number.  They may be talking about a true credit card.  Call the toll free number on the back.  They want you to get set-up online.

  3. It's on the bottom left of the card, next to the 'Sort Code' which has 6 numbers.

  4. they are the big numbers.

  5. Its the last 8 digits of the long number in the middle of the card.

  6. The six digit number 11 04 45, something like that, is your sort code. Your account number is probably beside it, and it will be 8 digits. The very long number 16 digits in groups of 4, is the card number.

  7. The account number is not on your debit card. The account number is on your monthly bank statement :)

  8. The really long number on the front of the card, take the last eight numbers from that big number and this is your account number and the 6 in front on them is your sort code, i am with hsbc also
