Question:

HSMP - bank statements printed off online?

I don't have all my original bank statements. I am going to print them off from my online account and then get my bank to sign it. Who needs to sign it in the bank? Do I need a stamp on these? What does the accompanying letter have to state?

Thank you!

  1. Not having trawled through the rules; I would think that you would need to get new copies from the bank. They are pretty strict on documentation.

  2. The Home Office have been increasingly strict about documentation in this area.  You have to ensure the statements are stamped and signed by the bank. The accompanying letter should be on letter headed paper and signed, and should confirm the content of the bank statements by stating that they are true and accurate.

  3. The Bank or Financial Institution has to confirm that the records are true. Better yet ask them to print it out for you though you will incur extra bank fees.

I also have to submit a tax certificate and pay slips!

    Crazy!

  4. Just take it to the bank, they'll tell you what to do
