these guys are making more in a year than most do in ten and some do in a lifetime...if you work for IBM or the Best Buy on the corner, there IS a dress code...is it to much to ask someone to dress in what most companies call BUSINESS CASUAL in an effort to make the average attender of a live NBA game relate to the players better...I think NOT...

Dave is NOT a racist in that ALL players have the same dress code, even Brian Scalabrine...

um he has the right to make a dress code for the NBA, hes david stern, but He cant tell people what to wear at the games thats why people show up dress how they want, I dont think he is racist at all.

What you described about David Stern may give you room to accuse him of being a hypocrite- but not sure where you're calling him a racist.  

David Stern has internationalized the game- and also he'd be a racist if he was complaining about the type of music at the games.  Plus the dress code applies to everyone- so sorry not a racist- perhaps a litlte hypocritical...

No... I like the dresscode. He wanted to make the NBA look more classy and I like it this way alot more.

The rap music and letting fans dress as gangsters is not really under his control. He can't stop fans from dressing how they want. And rap is a big part of society now.

Um, your crazy. It is their life, let them do what they want. Their busy their entire lives and never get to be near their families anyway. I really don't give a **** what they do, as long as they give me entertainment on tv or in a stadium.

Anyways why should anyone care what players are wearing off the court?What players are wearing during a press conference doesn't make any difference to me.
