HVAC in the Air Guard?

Just curious how technical it is. Like or dislike?

  1. Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning. Well you'll have to learn about 3 phase electrical circuits, BTU's some algebra, algebra trig, geometry. Other than that, not much.  


  2. It is just as technical as doing it in an outside job. A buddy in the same unit as me does it and he gets to work on a lot of cool things, such as the AC units for huge aircraft hangers. You will get great training in this field that will carry over to you being able to step into a job in the civilian world doing the exact same thing.

    The ANG is giving a $20,000 bonus for most career fields as well as The GI Bill for college and tuition assistance. Go to college for free, make money each month from the GI Bill, and earn money each drill weekend while getting paid job training...its a great deal.

  3. HVAC is same, doesn't really change.  However, you can thank your lovely former President Clinton for downsizing the military and eliminating jobs such as HVAC from the Army.  Most of that stuff is now outsourced to private contractors.  Not sure about he Air Guard though.
