HW HELP - How will the moisture content of the soil affect the rate of decomposition of the humus in the soil?

decomp happens best when oxegen (and critters) can access.  too much moisture fills gaps. There is still oxigen in water but not as much as air..

compare to ancient bodies found in stagnant mud bogs where no oxegen to decompose, or ships found in deapest seas.
