HWat is the difference between a tri fin and a 2+1 fin setup on a longboard?

how would a longboard ride differently with these two fin setups?

A tri fin would be a standard thruster layout, where all of your fins are about the same size and the position is not adjustable.  A 2+1 uses fin plugs for the sides and a fin box for the center.  This allows you to use a longboard fin in the center with small side bites on the side, or you can just ride it as a single fin.  The fin box allows you to move the fin back and forth which changes the performance of the board.  Farther back gives more drag and is better for nose riding, farther forward loosens up the board and makes it easier to turn.
