  1. New England quarterback didn't ever play a down with his "foot injury."

The only thing I take from pre-season is the injury count. My team faired okay on that front. That's the only thing that really matters.

    That's my 2 for 2.

  2. i don't know i hate the preseason they should just have a 20 game regular season

  3. If you look at a team like the Pats, they are pretty set in terms of their lineup and have a lot of veteran players who know how to get ready for the season, so their best players don't have to play that much in the pre-season. They would rather get a long look at their potential 2nd and 3rd teamers to build depth.

Some of the lesser teams have to play draft picks and new starters longer to give them experience in their new system, so the first stringers play more and probably get better matchups later on in the game.

I agree preseason records mean nothing. I just tend to look at what the first teamers did against their first team and don't worry about the end result. It's a little like spring training baseball, I just look at the performances of the regulars and guys who should make the team because that's what matters for the real season.

  4. This proves USC is on the way to the National Championship

    Fight ON!!!

Fight On!!! Fight On!!! Fight ON to Victory!!

  5. Preseason really doesn't mean anything. The Pat's starting players barely play any during preseason because the Pat's have a lot of Veterans and preseason should just be called rookie season.Brady may be hurt but I doubt he would even play anyway during preseason.Lions play hard during preseason to make the Detroit fans believe that this is the year.So then everyone in Detroit has to get tickets to the Lion's home games to watch them lose. It's probably all a scam.

    Go Pats!

  6. I guess the lions feel special actually winning a game.

  7. Yes, that is exactly what it proves.

  8. That's what the Patriots look like when they aren't taping signals.

I guess the headset radios work huh?

  9. You will find that each year, the teams that go undefeated in pre-season are always suspect (they play to win because they know it will be tough to win during the regular season) and risk injury to key players.

The best teams use pre-season to evaluate/make decisions on talent - not overexpose key players to injury. Why?  Because they know they will perform in the regular season and have nothing to prove in pre-season.
