Haathi Mahal Hotel, Goa, India...have you been there?

our holiday hotel is the Clarion Beach/Jupiter Spa hotel in Goa, India. we have had an email from tour operators saying that there have been many complaints about the hotel...& they would like to move us to the Haathi Mahal Hotel.

i'd be interested to know how other people found the Haathi - is it a nice hotel? thank you for any serious answers.
