Anaconda are encountered in tropical environs of South America. They are encountered east of the Andes, Venezuela, the Guianas, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, and on the offshore island of Trinidad. Other anacondas are the yellow anaconda, Eunectes notaeus, a slighter species encountered in to the east Bolivia, southerly Brazil, Paraguay and northeastern Argentina, the dark-spotted anaconda, Eunectes deschauenseei, a infrequent species encountered in northeastern Brazil, seaside French Guiana and Guyana; and the Bolivian anaconda, Eunectes beniensis, divulged in 2002 in the swamp flat lands of Bolivia's Pando province. It was the first new anaconda species acknowledged since 1936, and became only the fourth famous sort of that reptile, as showed by the WWF.
