hockey jerseys cant go above the number 98 now that gretzky is retired and laperriere is number 40 not 400. it would be great if the nhl had numbers that high but i dont think they would fit on the jersey

Like other people have mentioned, I've been hearing the number '13' being whispered around a lot. I guess everyone will find out when the season starts though.
