  1. It sounds as if you had a stomach virus -- and although you've stopped throwing up, you are probably still viral and need rest and proper diet for the following 24 hours after onset of symptoms (possibly longer but you need to be the judge of how you're feeling at that point).  Since you are able to keep foods and liquids down, I would recommend avoiding dairy and sugary cereal (since you did experience stomach pain afterward). Clear liquids (water, ginger ale, gatorade) and bland food (your stomach is still irritated).  A traditional BRAT diet allows you to get carbohydrates into your body to give you some energy while not aggravating your aching gut.  Bananas, rice, applesauce and toast (try to skip the butter) should be your menu of choice for the next meal or two.  If you tolerate that, you can begin to incorporate lean protein (i.e. roasted chicken, turkey, chicken broth (with some of the chicken but skim all possible fat).  Slowly increase your diet as tolerated (but avoid fatty, fried or sugary foods for a few days )-- the less your digestive organs need to work to obtain the nutrients, the better.  Try to avoid sugary drinks or foods as they will increase the amount of water in your intestines and could cause diarrhea.  With a little TLC, you and your stomach should be feeling better by this time tomorrow.

  2. you have a stomach virus and it'll take a few days to go away.  stick with thing like crackers and avoid cereals with all the sugars..../
