Had a major headache it came on suddenly?

i could not hold my head up it hurt so bad, also i was lifting something when it happened, so i went to the e.r. 3 days ago had a ct scan a spinal tap and a ct scan with dye injected. but i still have a minor headache. any ideas? also it seems to get worse when i strain to do something.

So with the ct scan with the dye, they didn't tell you what was causing it? I'd contact them and see what the results were that would be your best.. It could be just migranes or it also could be something more secious even though I don't think migranes would be alot fun either... best of luck

same thing happened to me when I was about 32 years old.  No explanation, but pain went away after about 3 months.
