Had a so called crossline?

Question

at this age has anybody experienced a crossline on a landline?

crossed lines can happen due to certain faults..

for example bits of bar wire or solder might be dropped accidently

at cross connection points by engineers working ...

the cable might get get damaged or be faulty..

the connecting media might be faulty at switching points

with privacy marker on circuit not working

Admittedly faults happen a lot lot less with modern digital technology than with mechanical switching than int he past.
