  1. Yes.  Most (if not all) states share information with eachother for your MVR (Motor Vehicle Report).  And, if the accident involved an insurance company in any way (just calling them, even if they didn't have to pay anything) they are going to report that to ChoicePoint, a company that provides the CLUE report that shows claims in which an insurance company will use on top of the MVR Report.  So...yes.

  2. What exactly are you trying to fight?  You want your accident record sealed?   If you are not at fault, it doesn't matter, if you are at fault, it is only fluke you had it out of your home state, therefor it should show on your record, right?

  3. you can have an accident in another country and it will show up on your records!  It goes by your drivers license not by the state, city, county or country records! If you have an accident or get a ticket they use your drivers license number and info to record it!

If you feel you are not at fault you can fight it still but you will probably have to go to that city's or county's court house in that state to fight it!  For example, my son got into an accident on the other side of the state from where we live and he felt it wasn't his fault so he had to go to court in the county where the accident happened to contest it!

  4. I agree with the first answer, but to answer your question about fighting it, it is no different just because it was out of state.  If you were not at fault and that is in dispute, you can always try to get it reversed.  However, if the police report corroborates the fault, and your insurance company paid, there is really not much you can do.

    Hope this helps!
