I was driving on the I-80 in Indiana at night going to see my mom in chicago. I just got my license two weeks before and the car in question was purchased from JD Byrider the same day. I was cruising at 60-70mph when I noticed I was drifting a little out of the left lane. I turned my wheel slightly to the left and then my ******* car started swerving very quickly almost like it was wobbling. In a matter of moments I was on the side of the road in a ditch. My airbags were deployed. Two motorists who were behind me came and waited with me for the highway patrol people. I was freaked out while the highway patrol people called a wrecker to pick up my car. I don't think the vehicle was wrecked, I did see them discard one of my tires, on the side of the car their was large streak of paint missing. I wasn't drinking when this happened. I still am baffled about what caused it though can anyone clue me in on this? I think it was something with the tires. Anyone insured by Omni Insurance Corp?

  1. No not the cars fault but yes the drivers fault, inexperienced at night driving and a failure to reduce your speed...

  2. I think an inexperienced driver in a "new" car was too much to be on the highway at night!

Just so you know for next time.....small cars (and some larger) will "drift" in air pockects toward other cars.  Motorcycles have been known to get caught on the under draft of Semi-trucks.

I am not a nascar fan.....but watch a race and see how cars line up going around the track....the cars behind are using the draft from the cars in front of to "carry" them.

When the wind is blowing strong you can feel your car move and its sometimes hard to keep in the road it's kind of like that.
