had my period removed june 11th should have started period around june 20 but it didnt come til june 25 but it was just spotting for a day and half and that was it.

this month i was trying to figure out if i would go back to my schedule of starting around 20th give or take a day or so but then the 25 past and still nothing took preg test all neg then on the 29 at night spotting then yesterday the 30th spootting ( just enough to use a liner) then today the 31 spotting in morning then nothing all day

my normal period even while having IUD for last 4 years was on track like clock work and was very heavy lasting for 5 or 6 days

did anyone else go through this. i was told that the paragard copper IUD was a non hormonal birth control and that it would not mess with hormones

  1. I also had the copper iud taken out but on june 10th...lol I got my period right on time on june 12th and it lasted a full week like it did while I had the iud in.

Before I had the iud in my periods were pretty light and 4-5 days and i usually didnt even need to use a tampon. After getting iud in my periods became longer and alot heavier (had to use super tampons) my dr. said the copper one does make your period longer and heavier.

This month my period started 2 days late and only lasted barely 4 days and was light again. But i think it might have messed up when i ovulate. idk though.

Your right about the copper iud...it doesnt have hormones in it.

Were your periods pretty light before you had the iud put in?
