Had diamond go missing from ring-filed police report & wife altered the report b4 giving me a copy. what now ?

Originally it was said to be stolen when appraised, ring was still there but stone was replaced. I think she sold/pawned the diamond or something like that and altered the original report before giving me my copy. I found the original and she had whited out information. stone was certified, can I track this stone down and what should i do now with police or whoever.

Since it is your wife she technically owned the ring and can do as she pleases with it.  Legally nothing the police can do, but you can rethink your desire to be with that person.

Well, I would be upset and get rid of this wife and get a new wife. This person is not honest and you need a wife who is honest in all areas.
