Had emergency surgery - septis?

Hi

They think I had septis due to the death of my baby in my uterus. They performed D&E yesterday and I stayed overnight.

Why do I still feel afraid? The University of Wa medical Center released me today so if they release me does that mean they think I'll be ok?

  1. Ok I think you mean sepsis, which is an infection in your blood. If they released you today, than that means that you're ok. You should probably follow up with your regular doctor in a few days so they can order more blood work, to make sure that it's improving. You may feel sick for the next couple of days, and that's normal. If you start feeling faint, then you need to get back to the hospital ASAP. Good luck and I hope you feel better!
