  1. did he abstain from ejaculating for a few days before providing the sample? that could affect the sample.. and yea, i think the time of day too....

does he wear boxers or briefs? drink? smoke? eat healthy? take male supplements? there are many ways to increase sperm count... and then you'll just have to time s*x during your peak fertile periods if his count continues to be on the low side.

and try to turn that :( into a :)

we all stress way too much when TTC....

  2. In addition to the very helpful answers above, I recently found out something that I wanted to share: if your hormones are fine, your ovulation is good and reliably on time each month, and the only thing wrong is a sperm count, you could easily get pregnant with IUI.  Now, before you start to worry, as I did, it's apparently not as expensive as you might think. For example, if the woman's side of the equation is totally healthy and normal, an IUI with washed sperm can cost as little as $200. It's only when the woman needs injectibles and Clomid that the cost starts to add up.

So don't worry -- try the other options first, but bear in mind that there might be a quick fix with IUI. They 'wash' the sperm and use centrifugal force to get the strong healthy sperm out of the s***n, then they inject it through the hole in your cervix right before ovulation (a little uncomfortable, that's all) and voila! The sperm don't have to deal with hostile cervical mucus, and half the swimming's already done for them :)  Hope this helps!

  3. Don't be discouraged, keep the faith until you know the extent of your situation. I can assure you there will be thousands going through the same, so hold that head up high xx

'Oligospermia' - this is the term used to describe when the sperm count is low. You could take a look at some of the possible causes below. It is almost certain that you should seek some medical advice, which is what you are doing. You will be guided along the best route for you and hubby. I've heard strong positive reviews about Proxeed,  since recent clinical trials of this supplement have shown excellent results. This is a supplement: take a look at the website below:

I'm wishing you the best of luck
