I'll be putting in my 8mm and 1.2mm bar in a couple of days when my swelling goes down. But i really dont like the big balls hanging out. Iv just brought a tiny flat stud labret, will this be ok to put in in the next couple of days its got the same measurements at the other bar the piercer gave me its just a smaller stud. Will this effect my piercing or will the stud get stuck in my skin if it is too small. Past experiences and views please x*x thank you

  1. Do not change it for at least six weeks(I think it is six, i cant remember). If you change it while the piercing is still healing it can mess up the healing process. Just wait until it is healed then go to the piercer to change it. If you really need to change it go to the piercer. Don't try it b yourself. Good luck

  2. Leave it alone! You can't change it for 6 weeks, at least that's what your piercer should have told you. You will need to go back in 6 weeks so that they can change the bar you have now. The bar you have now should be longer to allow for swelling. If you change it in a couple of days, it will swell more and the bar won't be long enough for it.

  3. you should wait until its fully healed before you change the jewelry and make sure you sterilise the new stud before you put it in

if you already have a labret stud in and the ball at the front is too big simply change the ball to a smaller one make sure you sterilise it first though
