Had my purse stolen & it had 2 income tax checks in there that i was bringing to the bank, wat should i do?

Notify IRS immediately so that a stop can be put on them.

Phone the police, but did you get a description of the person who stole it?  That would certainly help.  Perhaps you would be able to stop those checks and get new ones issued to you.  I hope so.  God bless.

I would call up the tax office and tell them whats happened.because they should be able to cancel that cheque,then talk to the police,then go to the bank with your tax return stubbs,they will have the cheque numbers on them,most banks in aus take 5 working days to clear, hope this helps you out a bit
