I broke my fibula a little over 2 months ago. I had surgery and now have 5 screws and a plate to stabilize it and correct it. But, for some reason, the past couple of days I have had a terrible sharp pain on the inside of my ankle that last for about 3 minutes about 3 times a day. I had surgery on the outside of it, so I don't understand why this would be. Does anyone know what could be causing it?

  1. You may be having pain from Adhesion's.  Do you live in a wet or humid area?  This could cause some swelling in the area and produced pain that you are having.  Are you taking any anti inflammatory medications, i.e; motrin, advil, etc. ?

  2. because it your fibula might be reacting the the screws, i recomened that you go your doctor  now
