Had wisdom teeth pulled Wednesday morning, in terrible throbbing pain now

I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled Wednesday morning and I havnt been in much pain until this morning when I woke up. It was a minor throbbing pain, now it has just escalated to a terrible pain that is in my whole head and I just feel like crying. As long as I take the prescribed pain meds I am "okay". Should I call the dentist or is this all normal?

You should call your dentist, the pain shouldn`t be bothering you like this.

You should call the dentist because you may have what they call dry sockets. It is horrible. I know I had this when I got my wisdom teeth out too.  They ended up having to pack the holes with something I am not sure what.  Any way don't sit around suffering.  Call as soon as you can.

One big question... do you smoke? if you do and you did smoke then you have what is called a dry socket. a dry socket is very painful but if you do not and did not then call the dentist that took them out and let him take a look see
