Haddin and Hussey tear apart English attack in Brisbane
TEA Update

A magnificent sixth-wicket partnership between Mike Hussey and Brad Haddin put http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 in a commanding position on day three of the first Ashes Test at the Gabba in Brisbane.
Resuming at their overnight score of 220 for five, Haddin and Hussey continued their good work, as they attempted to pile on the runs and put England under pressure in the second innings.
The wicket seemed to have flattened out a lot at the start of day three, and the batsmen cashed in big time, with some delightful shots all over the ground. Their positive approach got the approval of yet another capacity crowd, that relished their brilliant
attacking batting.
Mike Hussey, nicknamed Mr. Cricket, got through his recent lean patch by slamming a brilliant hundred. He brought up his 12th century off 197 balls, with 15 fours and a six.
After bringing up the 100-run partnership, the two H's went after the tiring English attack that had thus far maintained their discipline, yet failed to make any inroads into the Aussie line-up.
Haddin, who has also struggled due to a combination of injuries and a lack of form, went on the offensive after reaching his half century. He reached his third Test hundred in the post-lunch session. Haddin struck 11 fours and a six in his knock.
The misery continued for England as the pair brought up their 200-run partnership. The English camp looked deflated as they faced their first major test in recent months. Their bowling attack was on top against two fragile batting sides in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 and
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 at home.
However in good batting conditions, they did not seem to have the ammunition to get the critical breakthrough, against two set batsmen. The pair have batted Australia to a commanding position, and barring a dramatic collapse, they look set to extend their
lead beyond the 250-run mark.
At the tea interval Hussey was unbeaten on 176, while Haddin was not out on 134.
