  1. If his replacement performs better than Haddin, he will find it difficult to cement his place in the side.    However, if his replacement is not performing as well as Haddin, he will have better chance to cement his place in the side.

  2. I guess it all depends on how well his replacement Luke Ronchi  performs and whether or not he makes any kind of impact on a big stage outside of his one 20/20 game (in my opinion 20/20 isn't indicative of how well someone is performing on a wider scale). What is in Haddin's favour is the fact that cricket Australia doesn't chop and change the team too often, preferring instead to give someone a proper go of it. So when he's fit again I think he'll be given the opportunity to regain his place in the team.

  3. no it wont he will be fine

  4. Hi Bingalee, i'm here to depose you as  B.Lee's no 1 fan.And I think Hadden will be OK.

  5. I trust Aussie 'keepers aren't getting soft. I doubt if Ian Healy would have cried out of a tour because of a finger injury.

Haddin needs to be careful, as he has not fully cemented his place in the side, and made himself indispensable. If Ronchi is successful, he will put Haddin under severe pressure for his place on a permanent basis.

However, Haddin is a class player, and Cricket Australia have long seen him as the natural long-term successor to Gilchrist.

I am sure they will keep faith with him, and reinstate him to the team as soon as he is fit.

What will also count in his favour is that he continued playing with the injury throughout the Test series.

So I fully expect to see Haddin back in the team once he has recovered. There is no point in doing long-lasting damage to his finger. If it needs fixing, it is best to get it fixed.

  6. fingers not broke again, just got hit on it a few times is all. Needs proper attention. Break mends well, haddins back.

  7. Yes its curtains for him...

Because Luke Ronchi is a very good keeper batsman.

  8. Ronchi's a wanker, neva gunna get Haddos place.

  9. Depends how Ronchi plays, if he stars with the bat and is neat enough with the gloves, then it will be very hard to drop him :)

I'm sure Haddin is a good enough player to gain his back in the side as he did well enough in the test series. and he scored big in the first ODI!
