yeah top story about frankie horsemanpal i enjoyed that and your story about the tenners too alan brazil had a similar story in his first book he published in 2006 its great to hear storys about what goes on in the owners enclosure sadly most of them not possible to post on here as newmarket salsa pointed out i no your a keen golfer like myself so if you ever have any stories on the golfcourse with jockeys or trainers be sure to post one or two in the future .

I love hearing racing stories!  Unfortunately most of them would be taken down from this site due to language/sexual content!

I don't have any stories personally, but know of many from various people I have worked with over the last few years.

well thank you kind sir,i have many but wont bore you with them all,just one more springs to mind at this moment in time...I was at the Cheltenham Festival with a runner and my horse was brought down at the 1st by a faller in the 1st race of the day so i was pissed off and went to the owners and trainers bar for a drink.That same day a good friend of mine was riding in the amateur 4 mile race,he had a good chance although the bookies had him a t 50-1,I had a tenner in my pocket and a five pound note,i thought i pulled the fiver to place a bet on him but pulled the tenner,there was a queue so i handed over the tenner and prayed a bit!- anyway,my friend had a habit of always standing up in the saddle when he crossed the winning line in first place,turning round to look at the rest of the jocks and scratching his a.rse.I was sitting next to a bunch of owners who saw me place my bet and they started ribbing me that my choice had no chance-i gave as good as i got,remembered that my mate scratched his a.rse when he won and bet them all £50 that if he won he would turn round and scratch his a.rse.they all took me on (10 of them) and i was on a winner to nothing.My mate won the race,i collected £510 from the bet and £500 in £50's from the boys next to me.I promptly bought the champagne and ended up p.issed in the company of good sports and showed a profit on the day of well over £700.- a good day.
