Berbatov refused City for United

What are your thoughts? Is City finally seeing the reality and knowing that not all players are influenced by money. Reality Check for City or not?

  1. lol

    told you so!

    tut tut tut......

    pathetic

my condolences to man.city for their MANY losses

  2. Ofcourse they all say this because the transfer window has just closed. There'd be no point in any footballer saying he wants to join City now cos his club would bench him until January as punishment.

It will be interesting to see how many of them change their minds in the new year.

It wouldn't be a reality check for Hughes, he will know he can find 11 top class footballers for his team, or however many he choses to buy. Bottom line is they will be able to get most players they want and create a very impressive squad.

  3. See Money doesnt = Football

(true Football i mean, the love of the game NOT the money involved nowadays)

  4. .

  5. I think the money City have will enable them to buy a lot of good players but it won't necessarily mean they will win the league, I think they will probably be regular Champions League qualifiers now but the top players will still want to sign for the biggest clubs with the best history.

  6. Everyone has their price its just a question of how high

  7. I think they were being far too ambitious in thinking top players will flock to their club just because of the money. Those players that are attracted by the big bucks are generally the sort of players I wouldn't want at my club anyway.

They'll have to qualify for the Champs league before players of the calibre you listed will take an interest. Also no offence to them but if even i was offered half the wages to go to any of the top 4 I'd pick them over City anyday. They're not prestigious enough yet. But it could happen in time.

  8. dam you beat me to this question lol

  9. it hasn't even been a week yet.......when the dust settles, we'll see - money talks, mate.......that's a fact!!!

  10. Football is about passion and skill not money. The owners probably haven't realised! LOL!!

  11. Haha City just look like beggars. They really think that even though a £80m bid for fabregas, kaka, messi etc, even if they are accepted, will persuade the players to come to the club? They love their own teams and would never consider leaving for years to come. You just watch, City will lose to chelsea next wkend and then we'll see if they can compete with the top (btw i support utd!). Robinho just went for money, but im glad because he didnt go to chelsea so thats good

  12. Nobody will want to come to Man city, money can't just buy players!
