Hahana Beach will be the home of action in September 2011
The U.S. Open Beach Volleyball Tournament, which was first launched in 2007, has successfully covered four flights and is now preparing for the fifth edition in 2011.
The tournament is scheduled to take place at the Hahana Beach in Cincinnati from September 2 to 4. This is the first time that country’s heartland, Cincinnati will host this thrilling beach action on its sands. The premier beach volleyball event of U.S.
Open will be presented by Corona Light that is the major sponsor of the event.
The 6-acre Hahana Beach complex is located in Columbia Township and it is considered the perfect spot for such activity. It has immaculate facilities and ideal atmosphere for beach volleyball tournament. Considering the appropriate setup and feasible conditions,
the USA Volleyball (USAV) sanctioned Hahana Beach to host the U.S. Open competition.
Last year, the U.S. Open was held at Manhattan Beach and it offered a reward of $100,000 to the winners of the tournament. However, with the change of location this year, the prize money has also been raised to $150,000.
The Managing Director of USA Beach Volleyball beach programs, Dave Williams expressed his views about the new venue of U.S. Open Tournament. He stated that sport beach volleyball has really flourished in Cincinnati over the past decade. USA Volleyball is
pleased to shift the event from Manhattan Beach, California to Hahana Beach in Cincinnati.
Since the start of U.S. Open Tournament, Elevation Group, Brand X Marketing and USA Volleyball has worked together to make it a successful event and promote the sport of Beach Volleyball in USA. This year ‘Reach USA’ has also joined hands with other partners
to make this event happen.
The President of ‘Reach USA’, Bob Slattery was excited to be a part of this joint venture. He said that the 2011 U.S Open is a great opportunity for athletes to showcase their skills and it will also offer a great time to beach volleyball fans.
The USAV is hopeful that the 2011 U.S. Open in Cincinnati will be major success like previous years.
