  1. on google go to learn martial arts and click the top link

  2. If you live in Killeen Texas there is a martial arts academy near the IGA foodstore called americas martial arts institute

  3. I would suggest waiting until you have time to devote to training and then find a qualified instructor.

In the mean time use your enthusiasm and energy to research  which art to study.

    Read lots of books

    Beware of internet "haters"

After all th research choose an art that best fits your body type, your goals, and your philosphy

    Have fun and train hard

  4. go to any one of the masters of marshal arts. select the best system

  5. Sorry Mani but you cannot learn martial arts from books, videos, or off of you tube. You might be able to imitate the motions, but there is a 100% chance you will be doing something wrong and not know it.

the only way to truly learn is to find a good instructor that can correct all the little mistakes that you make, that are very importent to doing the technique right. You also need resistent partners to pracice with, otherwise you will not have the skills to do it when it is for real.

Books and videos are good for people who laready know the basics to enhance their skills, but not for beginers.

They don't let people perform surgery that watched a video do they? No and for good reason, videos can't teach you all of the "little" things.

My instructor says if you don't make time you will never have time. If you want anything badly enough you will make the time.

  6. I agree with the answers that katana and samurai have given.

The best martial arts instruction does not come from watching a video or reading a book, though they can be very helpful -- but actually finding a good school and instructor who can teach you how to do things in real time.

I understand what a busy schedule is like, but I will say that the time you spend watching tutorials and martial arts movies and all that could be time spent at a class. Most of the MA schools that I've seen last under two hours, and you don't have to go multiple times a week if you are unable to.

    Good luck and stay safe.

  7. The best source to learn martial arts is flashmavi.com. Trust me when i first saw that website i couldnt get off. Its has so many martial art tutorials. It even has an animation to demonstrate the technique or martial arts u would like to learn.
