You need to consult your OB/GYN and spine surgeon or neurologist. My spine is fused with rods that reach from the base of my neck to my waist. My discs were removed, so they weren't a problem after healing from the surgery. I have carried three children successfully since that surgery, though it was painful. Besides the stress on your spine, it affects your legs and center of gravity, which may cause you more trouble with your back.
