  1. I believe it's the mascot for the 2010 World Expo.  Looks like Gumby with a cowlick right?

  2. According to this site

    http://www.shanghaiexpat.com/index.php?n...

the jury is still out on exactly WHAT haiboa

is, (other than the mascot for the 2010

    World Expo).

But it seems most MEN agree that it is

    probably a blue condom!

I never heard of haiboa until your question.

    How funny.

  3. It is the mascot for 2010 World Expo in Shanghai.

The correct name is "Hai Bao", written 海寶 in mandarin chinese characters.

"Bao" means treasure and "hai" stands for water, sea, earth...

So the little blue thing is named "treasure of the sea" or "treasure of the world".

It's shaped like the chinese character 人 "ren", meaning person or human being.
