Though to be quite honest "beauty and the bleak" seems just a little trite.

It's actually a very clever Haiku...the only edits should be using all lower case letters (the first word of each line is not capitalized in a traditional Haiku) and removing the ellipses in the third line..Haiku doesn't use punctuation and it doesn't really add anything to the meaning.  It's a good Haiku because the first two lines present the image and the third provides a parallel view...it's a very clever one because it also parodies "Beauty and the Beast" in both alliteration and concept...a beautiful pun....nicely done...keep writing
