I wasn't intending to stay in China for eternity

I spread my wings

The tips brush cold steel

My cage is solid I am trapped

Haiku should be 17 syllables, so I guess it depends how you pronounce steel (one syllable or two)

If 2 then change line 2 to They brush cold steel

blank-walled cubicle all day -

I'm going nowhere
