Hair Clip in extensions ? ?

I bought hair clip in extensions of American Dream Extensions and my own hair is till my shoulders but the hair extensions is a bit over my chest and I was wondering, do i have to cut them a bit or something? cause when i apply them you can always see my real hair until my shoulders.. so it's not a look.. So what's the best way to apply them or should i buy more extensions? i bought 3 pieces. and its looking great but yeah the problem.. And how long will they last --- (they're real human hair extensions.)

Hair extensions can be cut to the length you want them.  If your own hair is obvious and not blending in too well then clip the underlayer of your own hair up using hairgrips before attaching the extensions.  Human hair extensions can be washed like your own hair, shampoo and then condition.  Let them dry naturally and then straighten using light quick strokes to avoid damaging and drying out the ends.

How long they last?  I would say between 4-6 months if your wearing them often but how long they last depends how you look after them. If you're using straighteners or colouring them then they will get damaged as our own hair does.

There is a really good guide for clip hair at http://www.headkandy.com under teh style gudie category click the fitting guide.  I would recommend you get a few more strips, normally you can see where your own hair start and the clip hair ends because there isn't enough strips of hair.

They last about 6 months and you can colour them, the colour guide for the clip hair is on the headkandy website
