Hair Dye Question Please Help?

Is it safe to put brown permanent hair dye in my hair whilst I still have all over blonde and very light brown highlights or is it best to grow them out? If you think it is better to grow them out how hong do you think it should take? (I have short/medium length hair, in good condition, am going for a totally new look so I want it to look good especially as I am still in school and don't want to have to go in one day with really bad hair) Thanks x

  1. yea its fine, but just know if you use permanent then the only way for it to come out  is to bleach it [which is not good for your hair] or let it grow ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL the way out. that means your roots now are gunna have to grow out to the length of where your ends are.

unless you know youre totally gunna love it that color i wouldnt start with permanent. start with semi permanent and do that for a couple months and if you know youre gunna love it forever then use permanent.

  2. The end result can vary for different people. I have done that before and it looked good when I first got it done but then it kept fading into a brassy colour. If you get it done professionally they will probably do a strand test before to check if you will be happy with the finished result. Or do a strand test at home. Good luck :)

  3. You can color your hair, but you'll have to do a filler first. (Basically you need to color it twice.)  Or else the brown that you put over your blonde highlights will fade a bit and you'll end up having some uneven lighter pieces.  If you want to grow your hair out it could take a while as hair only grows about 1/2 inch per month.
