ok so my hair is really long like below my boob. and it is VERY curly but not the small tight curls the big ones. its also poofy and fine but there is LOTS of it! i love it when it is straightened but as you can guess it takes a while. it takes 20 minutes alone to blow dry it then like an hour to straighten it. i need tips on how to do this faster (im getting it cut soon so yea but i still need help!)

  1. get a new straightener because new ones heat up faster and are hotter so it will take less time to straighten your hair

                                              GOOD LUCK

  2. okay, i know that you want this to go faster, but doing it right take a little time... what would save your hair, and also some time would be to air dry your hair....

what i usually do is take a shower at night, like around 7:30ish, and then when i go to bed it's not too wet.. then in the morning it will be dry and you can straighten away.....

this is what i wrote for someone else, and the way i straighten my hair (like below) will actually last two days (if your scalp isn't naturally oily), thus saving you a little bit of time :) i hope this helps you!

i myself have super frizzy, super thick completely unmanageable hair that is between wavy and curly. i used to go to a hair salon every other week just to get my hair straight for two days... i was completely miserable with my hair... then i started to watch what the stylist was doing... now, the key thing is the type of flat iron you have... i have tried so many different types of hair straighteners from revlon, to other professional types and nothing worked... then i finally found my chi. it is really a miracle thing... lol. i know it sounds weird but it is my lifesaver, and it also saves a WHOLE LOT OF TIME!!!

items you need for straightening your hair are:

    - a straightener (preferably chi for best results)

    - a straightening syrum (I use Garnier Fructis Sleek&Shine... it comes in a little round green bottle, and can be found in the hair product section at practically any store)

    -a brush... (type doesn't really matter--but i use a paddle brush)

    - a hair tie...

seperate your hair into at least 4 sections starting with the bottom... with this bottom layer, you should only get hair from the back, not the sides if done properly... then, tie the top part of your hair in the hair tie... next, brush through the hair and make sure all the tangles are out.... then take a half of a dime sized squirt of the hair syrum and rub your hands together. run your fingers through your hair, your hands will still be oily, so you might want a towel to wipe your hands off... then, take your hair straightener that should be hot by now, and clamp it shut at the top of your hairs, by the scalp of your head... make sure you get as close as you can to the scalp, otherwise the roots of your hair will be frizzy and mess up your goal look. use the straightener like you would brush your hair, clamp it down at the top, hold it shut, and move it down, do the whole layer your on like you were just brushing your hair, in fast motions, and then make sure it looks straight enough, if you see a certain section that needs a little more attention, go back to it and move the straightener down it slow to make sure it gets real straight... next, let the next layer down, the layer right above your ears and then the next layer *repeat* and then the next.....

ALSO, get a really good shampoo and conditioner, i use herbal essences dangerously straight and it is awesome and smells really good too :) another key point to clean and soft hair is to leave the conditioner in your hair for like 5 minutes before you rinse, and try to rinse with lukewarm water if you can stand it....

sorry if this seems complicated, i was just trying to be real detailed... i hope this helps :) good luck!

  5. i have the same problem, buddy, so i can't help ya out. cant wait to compare schedules!! hehe so random...

  6. if its not straightening fast enough the heat setting might be too low or your not letting the iron heat up it needs 12 min, you can try a bit of some tresemme heat straightening gel it gives a shiny polished look and it speeds up the job and you need to get faster ironing is a skill and needs practice good luck

  7. go for rebonding.....it will make ur hair soft n silky.

u can make whteva style u want to........

  8. Try using a wet to straight iron. You don't need to blow dry it so it saves you time there, and it will save you the damage heat does to the hair. They work pretty well for thick curls and are about 20 USD.
