Does the hair behind there ears mean anything because mine dwarf had really thin hair behind his ears when i first got him now its like the rest of his body and you cant see his skin.

Does this have to do with health or Age? or nothing at all?

  1. Its completely normal! Hamsters have fur. Even on ears! Your hamster is just fine.

  2. Fur behind the ears is perfectly normal. Some hamsters can lose fur seasonally and a few of them lose it first behind the ears, so perhaps your hamster is one among them, so you might see the loss / gain of fur regularly in your hamster.

It is nothing to do with his health or age. However, if sudden fur loss anywhere in his body is coupled with other sickness symptoms like loss of appetite, lethargy, excessive scratching, sunken eyes etc. then it could point to a sickness.
