Question:

Hair bleaching damage!?

by  |  earlier

0 LIKES UnLike

i recently bleached the bottom half of my hair blond, [two-toned] look

well i have really dark hair so i had to bleach it 5 times to get it blond

because first it was pink then orange then this ugly gold color until we finally got it just right then i went over it with blond hair color.

Since then my hair is hard to brush when its wet, it tears and splits easy. feels stretchy and sticky. why is that?

also my roots have grown out considerably and i was thinking of touching it up but I'm not sure because of how much damage

its in right now.

what can i do to fix this ive already done the deep conditioning and

silk infusions as well.

  1. Once the damage is done, it is done, cut the damage off, or keep oils on the damaged hair to make it flexable, but it needs to come off.  What bleach did you use and what peroxide?  You have to use a 40 volumn to lift with a bleach or any high lift color, and add some red Gold Corrector.  Go to a pro, to correct the wrong.

  2. you fried your hair. I used to dye my hair blond too and my hair is dark brown. It took some time for me to get it to blond, but it fried my hair. The only thing that worked for me was to get the color stripped and not dye it til it grows back to normal.

  3. hair bleaching is never good. It kills all the good stuff in your hair and will make it very dry.you should go to a hair dresser and ask them for help. they can recommend a very strong shampoo or conditioner that will help.

  4. The reason it is hard to brush when its wet, it tears and splits easy. feels stretchy and sticky is because it is so damage.

You need to keep it clean and try not to damage it too much.

Dont use straightening irons, hair dryers etc.

When you wash your hair comb it (dont brush it, comb does less damage)

Leave it to dry naturally and try not to put your hair in tight hair bands whilst tying it up etc.

You may want to get advice from a hairdresser. They will know best.

  5. TIP: Your hair is most vulnerable to being damaged when it is wet. SO NEVER TRY COMBING IT OR BRUSHING IT WHEN ITS WET! it only damages your hair more. I suggest you go to a professional hair stylist to get your hair fixed. and dont bleach it anymore. tht was the HUGE damage to ur hair in the first place!

  6. The only way to fix already damaged hair is to cut it off. Bleach contains peroxide and strips your hair of ALL natural vitamins, minerals, and oils. It sounds like your hair is beyond fixing and has already started to break. My advice is, make sure you keep trimming the ends to cut off the damaged hair. If you want to dye it, you will need to go to a stylist. I would recommend organic, peroxide free or all natural hair dye as it is much better for your hair. If you are brave, perhaps you should try a cute pixie cut like Katie Holmes' new cut and then re-grow your hair.

  7. Yea you can touch up your new growth but just that don't overlap bleach that is why your hair is stretchy and it I bet it feels rubbery too huh? When hair gets like that its because there is no more elasticity in it  All you can do to your hair is deep conditioning treatments try redken extreme fuel and keep it away from heat and wash every other day or give it an avocado mask avocado penetrates deep into the hairshaft and adds nutrients to your while it conditions it its great try that

  8. have u tried leaving conditioner on all night wrap ur hair in a towel this should soften it up and when u wash it and condition it normally leave a bit of the conditioner in . if u were 2 walk into ur local salon they will sell u a shampoo and conditioner that will suit ur hair type bit dearer but worth it . and it last a long time u dont have 2 use as much

  9. theres nothing you can do about the previously damaged part because you basically fried it

my advice is to just let it grow out then if you still want the same look you had then get it done by a professional

  10. BLEACH IT 5 TIMES !

    Thats the problem !

    Your hair will drop out

I would advise stopping the underneath being bleached. Otherwise one day you will find yourself with only half a head of hair.

  11. well if it's damaging your hair, cut that part off. take care of your hair by eating healthy and drinking tons of water -it will give you great skin too! and shampoo and condition daily. lay off the hair products that might damage it even more. stay away from all those electronic hair product until your hair is healthy again. dont use it so much b/c it can make your hair very dry and even more damage. and don't dye or bleach or put any kind of chemical in your hair. it'll make it worst. good luck!
